Driveway cleaning in Lowestoft

Driveways, patios, roofs and gutters in Lowestoft, Oulton Broad and Corton, a short run down the A47 from our base in Great Yarmouth.

Roof, gutter and driveway cleaning in Lowestoft

Lowestoft is the most easterly town in the UK, and its houses face more North Sea weather than almost anywhere else. Along the seafront and through Kirkley and the south of the town there are Victorian and Edwardian terraces with front steps, bay windows and long gutters high up. Further out there are estates of newer homes with block-paved drives and concrete-tiled roofs.

Oulton Broad brings water and trees into the picture, so roofs and gutters there collect more leaves and moss than those on the front. Corton, up the coast towards us, is quieter and more open, and it catches the wind.

We come down from Great Yarmouth on the A47, so Lowestoft is well within our patch. Every job is quoted as a fixed price for the work described, so you know where you stand before we arrive.

What the North Sea does to Lowestoft homes

The first town in the country to see the sunrise is also the first to catch the weather.

Salt and spray

Salt in the air settles on everything near the front. It keeps paving and steps damp, and it is why seafront homes need cleaning more often than homes inland.

Gutters high up

Tall terraces have long gutter runs well out of easy reach. We clear them from the ground with a vacuum pole, and the camera shows you the inside of the gutter.

Leaf fall around the Broad

Around Oulton Broad, trees drop leaves into gutters and onto patios every autumn. Left alone, they block downpipes and make paving slippery.

Lowestoft questions

Do you really come down to Lowestoft from Great Yarmouth?

Yes. Lowestoft, Oulton Broad and Corton are part of our regular area. It is a straightforward run down the A47.

Can you clear gutters without a ladder?

Yes. We clear gutters from the ground with a vacuum pole, check inside them with a camera and rod the downpipes, so nobody leans a ladder against your fascia.

How often should a seafront property be cleaned?

More often than one inland. Gutters on the front are best cleared twice a year, and most drives and patios benefit from a clean every year or two.

Can you clean sandstone and porcelain patios?

Yes. Each is cleaned at the pressure it can take: sandstone gently, because it pits if it is hit too hard, and porcelain and concrete slabs with a rotary cleaner for an even finish.

How do I get a price?

Send a couple of photos from your phone and a rough size. For drives, patios and gutters we can usually price the job without visiting. Roofs are quoted after a look at the property.
