Gutter Cleaning
Cleared from the ground with a vacuum pole, checked on camera, flushed through.
A blocked gutter does not announce itself. It overflows down the render, soaks the wall behind it, and the first you know is a damp patch on an upstairs wall or a rotten fascia board. On a coastal property with trees anywhere near, it is an annual job.
We clear gutters from ground level with a vacuum pole, so no ladder goes against your fascia and nobody is climbing over your conservatory. A camera on the pole means we can show you the run before and after, and tell you if a joint is leaking rather than just blocked.
When you need it
- Water spilling over the edge of the gutter in heavy rain
- A green or dark stain running down the render or brickwork
- Plants growing out of the gutter run
- A damp patch on an upstairs wall or a soft fascia board
How we do it
A vacuum pole reaches the gutter from ground level. No ladder goes against your fascia and nobody climbs over a conservatory roof.
The whole run is cleared rather than the visible blockage, because the next fall of leaves will just move the problem along.
Downpipes are checked and rodded through where they are blocked. A clear gutter feeding a blocked downpipe still overflows.
A camera on the pole means we can show you the state of the run and confirm it is clear — and spot a cracked joint or a dropped bracket while we are there.
Debris is bagged and goes with us.
Gutter Cleaning questions
How often do gutters need clearing?
Once a year suits most houses around here. If you have trees within reach of the roof, or you are right on the seafront, make it twice — after autumn leaf fall and again in spring.
Do you need to get on my roof?
No. Gutters are cleared from ground level with a vacuum pole. That is safer for us and it means no ladder marks on your fascia.
Can you tell me if a gutter is leaking rather than blocked?
Yes — that is what the camera is for. A blocked gutter and a failed joint look identical from the ground, and they need completely different fixes.
Do you repair gutters?
Clearing and flushing is what we do. If we find a cracked joint, a dropped bracket or a split downpipe, you will get told about it with a photo so you can get it sorted.
Will you clear the conservatory gutter too?
Yes, and it is one of the places a pole system really earns its keep — nobody should be putting a ladder against a conservatory.
What if my gutters have plants growing in them?
That means there is soil in there, which means it has been a long while. It still clears, it just takes longer, and it is worth checking the fascia underneath while we are at it.
